MapleStory Worlds is now available on mobile and PC in the Americas and Europe

MapleStory Worlds, the latest addition to the popular Nexon franchise, is now available in the Americas and Europe! This new title allows players to create their own unique experiences using a range of tools and assets from the MapleStory universe.

For MapleStory fans, this simultaneous release in North America and Europe is a welcome surprise. Following a soft launch in late 2024, MapleStory Worlds is now officially launched on mobile and PC platforms.

Essentially, MapleStory Worlds functions like a MapleStory-themed Roblox. Players can utilize both simple and advanced tools to build side-scrolling adventures, encompassing RPGs, shooters, and social experiences.

Cross-platform play between mobile and PC is a key feature. Nexon has highlighted the monetization potential of these user-created experiences, but the main draw for many will likely be recreating classic MapleStory moments with enhanced tools.

A World of Possibilities

While intrigued, I remain somewhat cautious about MapleStory Worlds. The game's charming pixel art is undeniably appealing, yet widespread enthusiasm among long-time fans hasn't been overwhelmingly apparent.

However, the diverse range of experiences offered—from platformers to zombie survival games and more—might make it more appealing as a standalone platform. Its success will depend on player reception following this full launch.
