Lies of P: Overture Revealed During Sony State of Play 2025

Lies of P's prequel, Overture, is coming Summer 2025.

Revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025, Lies of P: Overture will launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. A gameplay trailer showcasing new environments, bosses, and a mysterious guide was also unveiled. See the trailer below.

Lies of P, a critically acclaimed (IGN 8/10) single-player action RPG with Bloodborne-esque gameplay, reimagines the Pinocchio story. Overture acts as a prequel, delving into the events preceding the main game's "Puppet Frenzy."

Lies of P: Overture Details:

Overture transports players to Krat, a city in its final days, showcasing a blend of late 19th-century Belle Époque aesthetics and impending doom. Players assume the role of Geppetto's puppet, guided by a Legendary Stalker, uncovering secrets and facing pivotal battles that shape Lies of P's narrative.

• Explore Krat's Untold History: Discover previously unseen areas of Krat, from opulent mansions to eerie ruins, encountering new enemies and uncovering hidden lore.
• Meet the Legendary Stalker: Journey alongside Lea, the Legendary Stalker, on a quest for vengeance, unraveling the mysteries surrounding familiar and new characters.
• Master New Combat Styles: Confront challenging enemies across expanded environments, utilizing new weapons and Legion Arms to customize your combat approach.
• Epic Boss Battles: Engage in intense battles against powerful new bosses, testing your skills and determination.

Round8 Studio's game director, Jiwon Choi, stated that Overture allows the team to fully explore the past and present of their universe. Publisher Neowiz previously hinted at this DLC and confirmed plans for a sequel. The original Lies of P sold over one million copies within a month of its September 18, 2023 release across multiple platforms.
