The Legion Go S boasts a refined design compared to its predecessor, featuring a lighter, more ergonomic form factor with smooth, rounded sides and textured grips for improved handling. The removable controllers have been integrated into the device's chassis. While the Windows version is available now, a SteamOS variant is expected in May.

IGN's Jacqueline Thomas, after experiencing the device at CES 2025, praised its comfortable feel despite the larger screen size, highlighting the improved ergonomics. She also lauded the vibrant 1200p 120Hz LCD display, noting its clarity and brightness even in a well-lit environment.
