Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Unveil New Legacy of Kain Projects: Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to expand the Legacy of Kain universe with two exciting new projects.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is a comprehensive encyclopedia detailing the world of Nosgoth. Authored by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, it promises in-depth coverage of locations, factions, characters, and a detailed timeline of the Kain and Raziel conflict. Beyond the lore, the encyclopedia will include behind-the-scenes content such as concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a retrospective on the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A Tabletop RPG

The second project is Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, a tabletop role-playing game set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires. Utilizing the MÖRK BORG ruleset, this mechanics-light TTRPG casts players as Sarafan warrior priests, offering six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the exploration of Nosgoth's diverse landscapes. Players will embark on vampire hunts, uncover hidden history, and delve into the spectral realm.
