Pokemon Day 2025 may have come and gone, but The Pokemon Company still has plenty of surprises in store for its dedicated playerbase. A new event in *Pokemon GO* introduces an adorable yet powerful Pokemon, and here's how you can catch Kubfu in the game.

How To Catch Kubfu in Pokemon GO

The Might and Mastery event is currently live in *Pokemon GO*, bringing exciting new features to the mobile game. The highlight, however, is the introduction of the Wushu Pokemon, Kubfu. Fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, ever since they debuted in the *Pokemon Sword and Shield* DLC. Now, the wait is over, and all you need to do is complete a few tasks to add Kubfu to your collection.

To get a chance to catch Kubfu, head to your Special Research tab and find the "Might and Mastery" section. Here's a breakdown of the challenges you'll need to complete:

Once you've completed all three tasks, Kubfu will appear, and you'll earn 891 XP for adding this Pokemon to your roster. Keep in mind, the Special Research is only available until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss your chance to catch Kubfu.

Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

If one Kubfu isn't enough for you, *Pokemon GO* has you covered. For $8, you can purchase the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass, which unlocks additional tasks and the chance to catch a second Kubfu. The rewards from this pass include:

• One Incense
• Two Premium Battle Passes
• One Star Piece
• Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
• A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu

However, the Fuzzy Fighter pass is only available for purchase until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once purchased, the tasks remain available, so you can complete them at your own pace.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

While Kubfu is undeniably cute, competitive players may be interested in evolving it into Urshifu. Currently, it doesn't seem possible to evolve Kubfu in *Pokemon GO*, but given that Urshifu's evolution is featured on the loading screen for the Might and Mastery event, it's likely that this feature will be added in the future.
