Kevin Conroy's Final Role in Devil May Cry Anime Revealed by Netflix

The demon-hunting adventure is about to get animated, as Netflix unveils its exciting new series, Devil May Cry. The streaming giant has just released a thrilling trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the action-packed world they can expect. Adding to the anticipation, the late and legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy will posthumously lend his voice to the series, marking another poignant chapter in his celebrated career.

Kevin Conroy, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman across numerous animated projects, will voice the character VP Baines in Devil May Cry. His voice can be heard in the opening of the trailer, introducing fans to this new role. Conroy's final performance in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3 in July 2024 was met with widespread acclaim, and now, fans have another opportunity to experience his remarkable talent following his passing in November 2022 at the age of 66.

Joining Conroy in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch voicing the protagonist, Dante. According to Netflix's official synopsis, the series delves into a gripping narrative where "sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms." At the heart of this turmoil is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, who is unwittingly central to the fate of both worlds.

The series is brought to life under the direction of showrunner Adi Shankar, known for his work on films like the 2012 Judge Dredd reboot, Killing Them Softly, and The Voices. Shankar is also attached to an upcoming Assassin’s Creed adaptation, though its long-awaited release remains uncertain. Devil May Cry will be animated by Studio Mir, the acclaimed South Korean studio behind hits like The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97.
