Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price recently revealed a cherished, yet unrealized project: Resistance 4. In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, Price confirmed that a pitch for a fourth installment in the Resistance series was submitted, but ultimately deemed unsuitable due to market conditions and timing.

PlayDespite its cancellation, Price expressed the team's enthusiasm for continuing the Resistance storyline. He highlighted the series' compelling alternate history setting, brimming with potential for exploring the Chimera's origins and future actions.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, was developed by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation 3. The games depict an alternate 1951 where an alien invasion targets the United Kingdom. Following the Resistance trilogy, Insomniac shifted its focus to other projects, including the acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man series and newer Ratchet & Clank titles.

Price's retirement announcement earlier this year concluded his 30-year tenure at Insomniac. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as the studio's new Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's recent releases include Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (recently ported to PC) and their upcoming title, Marvel's Wolverine.
