Co-Studio Head Ryan Schneider expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the world of Ratchet and Clank on the big screen. "I think back to the Ratchet and Clank film from several years ago. And we kind of got an early start on that. So, of course, we’re interested in that kind of thing. We love Ratchet and Clank in particular," Schneider stated. The 2016 Ratchet and Clank movie, while receiving mixed reviews, set a precedent for Insomniac's potential in film. With their acquisition by Sony in 2019, Insomniac is poised to leverage Sony's successful track record in game-to-screen adaptations, notably with the acclaimed series, The Last of Us.

Amidst these exciting developments, Insomniac's founder and long-time CEO, Ted Price, announced his retirement after a remarkable 30-year tenure. Price, who spearheaded iconic franchises such as "Spyro the Dragon," "Ratchet & Clank," and "Marvel’s Spider-Man," reflected on his decision, stating, "I actually made this decision last year. For me, after over 30 years of leading Insomniac, I felt it was simply time to step aside and let others pave the way for our team."

The reins of the company are now in the hands of three seasoned Insomniac veterans: Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang, who will serve as Co-Studio Heads. Price expressed confidence in the new leadership, saying, "I believe strongly that for us to continue our success, we need leaders at the top who are intimately familiar with how we do things, leaders who have helped build our culture and our processes, and who have earned people’s trust."

Insomniac Games is clearly gearing up for an exciting future, blending their passion for game development with new ventures in film and television, under the guidance of a trusted and experienced leadership team.
