Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor Brings Exciting New Content!

Hearthstone is gearing up for an exciting Year of the Raptor in 2025, packed with surprises, fresh gameplay, and new features. Expect the usual triple dose of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons to drop soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, which received a fantastic response, has Blizzard excited to keep the fun rolling throughout the year. They’ve even released a roadmap, giving us a glimpse into the near future of the game.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most significant updates coming is for Arena. This refresh, in the works since last year, is finally set to launch, aiming to attract a new generation of players to this classic mode that has been a part of Hearthstone since its early days.

Cosmetics are also getting an upgrade. New Mythic skins, Signature cards, and the introduction of Pets are on the horizon. These adorable companions will be part of a new system for acquiring cosmetics, though Blizzard hasn’t revealed all the details yet.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion of the year, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals are set to start next week, and there’s already an in-game celebration where you can earn rewards like The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card by completing the Event Track.

What Else Is Coming?

Along with the expansion, a new evolving game board will launch. The Year of the Raptor board will be a constant presence in Hearthstone throughout the year, with visual and audio updates accompanying each new expansion.

The Core Set is also in for a refresh. Some classic cards are making a comeback, albeit with a few tweaks, and new cards are being added to the mix.
