As announced in their recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Hades 2 has been available in early access since May 6, 2024. Supergiant Games marked this milestone with a message of gratitude to their community, highlighting their progress toward the game's full release.

Their post states, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

While the original Hades took 22 months from early access to full release, Supergiant Games is aiming for a quicker turnaround with Hades 2. The game is set to debut as a time-exclusive release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

Supergiant Games disclosed in a Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video that Hades 2 will initially launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 slated for release on June 5, Hades 2 could potentially hit the market around that time.

As the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved rogue-like, Hades, Hades 2 marks the first time Supergiant Games has ventured into creating a sequel. The developers have expressed that working on a sequel involves "a great deal of fear and respect."
