Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Debuts Feb 21 with Mortal Kombat Crossover

Epic Games has unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, aptly titled "Wanted." This season promises a thrilling heist theme, complete with gun-wielding villains, gold-laden vans, and explosive bank vaults, bringing a high-octane robbery experience to the game.

Set to kick off on February 21, the season introduces a unique collaboration with the iconic fighting game series, Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to Sub-Zero joining the Battle Pass, perfectly aligning with the heist theme through specially designed skins.

This collaboration is strategically timed to coincide with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. The skins in the Battle Pass will be available for purchase using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the usual pricing structure.

Confirmed to return are fan-favorite items like the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. Speculation is rife about the potential return of items from the previous heist-themed season, Chapter 4 Season 4, including the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and the Grappler, though these remain unconfirmed rumors at this stage.

A much-anticipated addition this season is Smart Building, an innovative feature that predicts the structure players need based on their aim direction, enhancing the strategic element of gameplay.

In line with the heist theme, a new gameplay mechanic replaces keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's thermite equivalent, to break into vaults and secure their rewards, adding a fresh twist to the game's dynamics.
