Fun Dog Studios has just rolled out "The Descent to Averno is Easy," a game-changing update for their extraction-survival title, The Forever Winter, which is still in its early access phase. This patch brings a suite of significant modifications to the game's core mechanics, aimed at deepening gameplay and elevating the overall player experience.

Among the standout updates is a complete overhaul of the water system. Water no longer depletes in real-time; instead, it functions as a currency that players use to access various regions within the game. The price of entry fluctuates daily, adding a strategic element to resource management. Players can now trade water with teammates before a match starts, which influences how quest rewards and resources are distributed across the map. As a nod to those who hoarded water before the update, Fun Dog Studios has promised a special bonus in the future.

Combat mechanics have also been significantly refined.
