Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix's Daredevil to the MCU has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his readiness to return to the role, stating at LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last appeared as Danny Rand in the second season of the Netflix series Iron Fist and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite mixed reviews of his portrayal, with some fans less enthusiastic about Iron Fist compared to the other Defenders, Jones remains optimistic. He acknowledged the criticism at the convention, saying, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

The integration of the Netflix Marvel universe into the MCU, now considered canon, has fueled hopes for a revival of The Defenders. This is further supported by recent reports that Marvel is "exploring" the idea. The upcoming series, Daredevil: Born Again, continues the story from the Netflix series and includes other characters like Jon Bernthal's Punisher, who also transitioned from Netflix to the MCU.
