Dredge Mobile Port Delayed, Closed Beta Set for December
Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!
Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will have to wait a bit longer for the mobile version. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.
In Dredge, players become a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, it's simple enough – catch fish, sell to locals. But the ocean holds more than just fish; strange creatures, mysterious beings, and a creeping sense of madness await, especially on a nearby, enigmatic island.
Sign up for the closed mobile beta via this Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't yet experienced this unique blend of horror and fishing.
A Challenging Port
Having played the PC version, the delay isn't surprising. Adapting such a large and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. But, if the mobile version mirrors the original, players can anticipate a rich and engaging experience. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch.
