Celebrate Like a Dragon's 20th Anniversary with RGG Studio's Fan Merchandise Vote!

Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio is giving fans a voice in shaping the celebration of the Like a Dragon (LAD) franchise's 20th anniversary, culminating in December 2025. A unique fan voting project allows players to select their favorite in-game items to be transformed into real-world merchandise.

One hundred LAD items are up for grabs, ranging from lingerie and incense to mahjong tiles, karaoke microphones, and even Kiryu's iconic dragon mask. The winning item, chosen through daily voting (one vote per day) from February 8th to March 21st, 2025, is guaranteed to be produced and released within two years. A subsequent survey will finalize the design details.

RGG Studio hinted at broader anniversary plans in a December 8th, 2024, tweet, expressing gratitude to fans and promising various events and announcements. The upcoming release of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20th, 2025, marks the beginning of these celebrations. The studio's previous 10th-anniversary celebration, which included the announcement of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami remakes, fuels speculation about similar projects for this milestone.

RGG Studio announced the PC requirements for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 10th, 2025, confirming that the recommended specs (Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent) are easily attainable for most modern gaming PCs. The game's availability on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One further underscores its accessibility. Steam Deck verification has also been confirmed.
