Diablo 4 Unlocks Season 5 Consumables
Diablo IV Season 5: Leaked Details Reveal New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode
Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Recent discoveries from the Public Test Realm (PTR) have unveiled details about Season 5, including the introduction of four new consumables specifically designed for the upcoming Infernal Hordes endgame mode. This week's PTR opening has shed light on these additions, promising a significant gameplay enhancement.
These consumables, crucial for boosting character stats and combat effectiveness, are acquired through various means: defeating monsters, looting chests, finding crests, or purchasing from vendors. Existing consumables, such as healing potions and elixirs, will be supplemented by these exciting new additions.
Data miners at Wowhead have uncovered four new consumable types:
- Antipathy: A rare anointment granting increased resistance.
- Blackblood: A common anointment boosting a random core stat.
- Vitriol: A magical anointment enhancing damage over time.
- Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.
Crucially, these consumables appear tailored to the Infernal Hordes mode, a new roguelite-style endgame experience. Players will face waves of enemies within a 90-second timeframe, choosing from three modifiers to increase the challenge after each wave completion. Higher difficulty translates to more substantial rewards. Similar to the Profane Mindcage Elixir in Helltides, Abyssal Scrolls will be available to further ramp up the difficulty in Infernal Hordes.
While specifics regarding acquisition methods, usage costs, and crafting recipes remain scarce, the PTR, open until July 2nd, will hopefully reveal further details about these intriguing new consumables. Stay tuned for more updates as players delve deeper into Season 5's offerings.
