Dead Cells' Updates Pushed to 2023
Dead Cells Mobile's final free content updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date: February 18th, 2025, for both Android and iOS.
These updates, already released on PC and consoles, bring a wealth of new content. "Clean Cut" introduces two exciting new weapons: the survival-oriented Sewing Scissors and the brutality-focused Giant Comb. A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
"The End is Near" lives up to its name, adding challenging new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Players can also look forward to fresh skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength, a powerful mutation that significantly boosts damage under cursed conditions.
A fitting farewell to free updates
Playdigious has consistently provided generous free updates for Dead Cells. While the announcement of the end of these free updates initially drew criticism, the studio has earned a well-deserved break to pursue other projects. The substantial content in these final updates serves as a fantastic conclusion to this era of free content.
