Critical Role Postpones Campaign 3 Climax Due to Los Angeles Fires
Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Critical Role has postponed this week's episode of Campaign 3. The impact on the cast, crew, and community has necessitated this cancellation. While a return to streaming on January 16th is hoped for, further delays remain a possibility.
Campaign 3 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with the episode count for the remaining storyline currently unknown. The last episode ended on a significant cliffhanger, leaving fans eager to see how the Bells Hells face their formidable threat. The possibility of a new campaign using the Daggerheart TTRPG system is also on the horizon.
The January 9th episode cancellation was announced due to the direct impact of the fires on the Critical Role team. Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray were forced to evacuate, while Dani Carr narrowly escaped harm. Sadly, producer Kyle Shire lost his home and belongings. The remaining cast members have shared updates confirming their safety.
Although Critical Role aims to resume streaming on January 16th, further delays are understandable given the ongoing situation. The Critical Role community is urged to be patient and offer support where possible.
The Critical Role Foundation, supported by community donations, is contributing $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund to aid those affected by the fires. The situation underscores the show's motto: "Don't forget to love each other."
