As 2024 concludes, Niantic is celebrating the arrival of 2025 in Pokémon Go with a special New Year's event, followed by the Fidough Fetch event and the highly anticipated Sprigatito Community Day. Kicking off the new year is the Eggs-pedition Access, a month-long paid event running from January 1st to 31st for $4.99. This unlocks increased Gift capabilities (up to 40 storable Gifts, 50 daily openings, and 150 from Photo Discs), enhancing your Pokémon journey.

New Year's 2025 Event Details:

The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While lacking new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes, the event still offers festive fun.

Expect increased wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with ribbon), Hoothoot (New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks. Raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu (Tier One), and party-hatted Raticate and Wobbuffet (Tier Three), also with increased Shiny chances. Field Research and PokéStop Showcases will provide further themed encounters.
