Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to find Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore, the game's starting area.

To begin your treasure hunt, travel to the lighthouse in the western part of Calviger’s Landing, located in the southern Living Lands region. Ascend the lighthouse using the external ledges and scaffolding. The map awaits you at the summit.

With the map in hand, navigate to the river northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall and Western Pargrun Wall Beacon fast travel point. Follow the river north to a broken bridge. Swim to the western opening in the riverbed, entering a cave. Inside, you'll discover the treasure chest containing the Wind and Wave shield.

The Wind and Wave shield boasts a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. Its Superb Quality makes it superior to early-game alternatives, and it can be upgraded to Legendary status with rare resources.
