First Bird Pokémon Arrives in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're an avid Pokémon GO player, you're in for a treat with the exciting events lined up, including the much-anticipated Catch Mastery event. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event adds another layer of excitement to the mix.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance to encounter their Shiny variants.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an increased chance of finding its Shiny form. To boost your progress, the event offers enticing XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and additional XP for Curveball Throws.

For those ready to take on a challenge, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. You can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, resulting in a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, get ready for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol—Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently gain access to this powerful move, dealing 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

To enhance your raiding experience, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20. Additionally, you can collect up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, totaling six for the day.
