Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and many other titles, was found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.

According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, along with other family members, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and support the family while he is unable to work. The campaign page reveals that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.

Johnson had volunteered to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22. After flying to the city and checking into his hotel, he mysteriously did not appear at the event, prompting concern. His wife, Kim, tried to contact him, but it was hotel security who eventually found him unconscious and barely alive in his room. Emergency medical technicians struggled to find a pulse upon their arrival.

The GoFundMe campaign set an initial goal of $50,000, but the outpouring of support from fans has exceeded expectations, with donations reaching $144,791 from over 2,200 contributors. Beyond his work in video games, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in numerous film and television roles.

In the gaming world, Johnson's voice is most notably associated with Bethesda games. His recent role was as Ron Hope in Starfield. He has also lent his voice to characters like Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
