Battle Crush Announces EOS Just Few Months After Early Access Launch
NCSoft abruptly announces the end of service (EOS) for its MOBA title, Battle Crush, surprising many given its relatively short lifespan. The game, which launched in early access in June 2024 following a global test in August 2023, will cease operations on November 29th, 2024.
Battle Crush Shutdown Details:
- Service End Date: November 29th, 2024. The in-game shop is already closed.
- Refunds: Players who made in-app purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund. Refund requests can be submitted from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025 (Android and Steam).
- Data Download: Download any desired game data before November 28th, 2024, as access will be terminated thereafter.
- Website Closure: The official Battle Crush website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for support purposes.
- Social Media Shutdown: Social media accounts and Discord will be deactivated on January 31st, 2025.
Why the Sudden Closure?
The unexpected EOS announcement has understandably disappointed players. While Battle Crush offered enjoyable gameplay, it apparently fell short of expectations, with some citing clunky controls and pacing issues as contributing factors to its premature demise. The game failed to capture the necessary player base and refine its mechanics to compete effectively in the saturated MOBA market.
While you can still experience Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before its complete shutdown, consider exploring other titles like Black Desert Mobile, which offers a compelling story-driven experience.
