Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8
Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test. Registration is currently open.
Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and stability issues before its official release. They're particularly focused on cross-play functionality, noting the complexity of implementing it in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale. Players are encouraged to participate and report any problems encountered. Larian suggests using the registration link to invite friends or joining the Larian Studios Discord server to find a group.
While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing support, including significant future updates for modders. Since the release of official modding tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods, demonstrating significant community engagement.
