Should You Free Ilora?

Freeing Ilora is strongly recommended. This path simplifies navigating Fort Northreach and unlocks a future side quest, "Escape Plan," making it considerably easier.

Consequences of Freeing Ilora:

Ilora becomes a valuable ally, assisting in combat against Fort Northreach's enemies, including Steadman Ralke. Early in the game, her aid is invaluable, given your character's limited starting equipment. Saving Ilora also sets the stage for a smoother experience in "Escape Plan."

How to Free Ilora:

Ilora reveals the key is in the Warden's Room. Access this room by climbing crates, traversing a platform, and entering a passage. The key is located near the door. Regardless of your choice, use the key to unlock the adjacent cell and obtain the Deerskin Gloves.

Consequences of Leaving Ilora:

Choosing not to free Ilora makes Fort Northreach significantly harder. "Escape Plan" will also prove more challenging. Ironically, you'll eventually encounter and fight Ilora, further complicating your escape. While you'll loot her corpse, this comes at the cost of a more difficult playthrough.
