Warzone Fans: Call of Duty Merch Shop Hints at Verdansk Return Next Week

If you've been eagerly following the Call of Duty Warzone community, you’ll know that the return of the beloved Verdansk map is just around the corner. Activision initially teased its comeback last August, but until now, details have been scarce—until recently. Players exploring the Call of Duty shop are greeted with a pop-up labeled "The Verdansk Collection," accompanied by a countdown timer set to expire on March 10, 2025. The accompanying image—a simple yet evocative tri-color sketch featuring snow-capped peaks, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—evokes memories of the original Verdansk map, which was replaced by Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and later Caldera. For now, the only way to experience the classic Verdansk is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.

This announcement is bound to excite longtime fans who were told in 2021 that Verdansk was gone for good. The return of the original map offers a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and for many, it’s an opportunity to relive their favorite moments in one of the most iconic battle royale settings.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has just released Season 2, complete with new multiplayer maps, a fan-favorite mode, and fresh content like weapons and operators. However, Warzone enthusiasts will notice that this season brings fewer updates compared to previous releases. Instead, the developers are focusing their efforts on critical areas such as gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and general quality-of-life improvements.

Stay tuned for more details as the countdown ticks closer to March 10, 2025. Will you be diving back into Warzone for the return of Verdansk? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
