"Warhammer 40k: Warpforge Unveils Emperor's Children"
If your favorite film series is Hellraiser and you enjoy a bit of ironic naming, then you'll be thrilled to know that Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge has introduced the Emperor's Children as their latest faction. This Slaanesh-heavy faction brings a new level of suffering to the game, complete with three new Warlords and a host of unique mechanics.
Originally a loyalist Space Marine legion, the Emperor's Children turned their backs on the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Now, they pledge allegiance solely to the chaos god Slaanesh and their own desires, splintering into warbands that scour the galaxy in search of new sensations and stimulations.
You can choose from three distinct Warlords to lead your forces. Lord Kaphrael, leader of the Callous Blades, specializes in eliminating enemy champions. Xarahan, on the other hand, embodies the arrogance and egotism that the Emperor's Children are known for. And of course, there's the notorious Lucius the Eternal, whose millennia-honed swordsmanship is nothing short of spectacular.
I see you tremble with antici-pationThe Emperor's Children introduce some truly unsettling mechanics that set their units apart. Cards marked with Ecstasy gain an effect when their health drops to a certain level. Those with Cruelty receive a boost if they damage, but don't destroy, an enemy unit. Units with Stimulation trigger an ability when targeted by stratagems. And finally, Combat Elixirs cause some cards to generate additional stratagems, enhancing their abilities.
Keep an eye out for the Emperor's Children in new booster packs and DLC, available now. These will allow you to unleash their new abilities and units to torment your foes like never before.
