Vampire Hunters in Bloodlines 2: What to Expect

The Chinese Room has recently shared exciting updates on Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, shining a spotlight on the vampire hunters known as the Information Awareness Bureau (IAB). Operating on a shadow budget without official government support, the IAB hunts what they call "Hollow Ones" under the guise of "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts."

Leading the charge in Seattle is Agent Baker, the disciplined and pragmatic head of the bureau. Nicknamed "The Hen" by her devoted followers, Baker is relentless in her mission to eradicate vampires. She meticulously investigates anomalies and delves into historical data to unravel the secrets of the vampire society lurking in the shadows.

The hunters of the IAB are a formidable force, well-coordinated and vigilant. They secure their bases with both external and internal guards, making it nearly impossible to face them alone. These agents work in teams, using spotlights and staying connected through portable radios. In combat, they wield thermic batons that ignore defensive tactics and deploy phosphorous grenades to flush out enemies. Their sniper crossbows launch explosive bolts that can cause catastrophic damage if not swiftly extracted.

Despite their prowess, the hunters have vulnerabilities. Being physically weaker than ghouls and vampires, they can be outmaneuvered with the right skills. For instance, the Fire discipline allows players to catch grenades or bolts in mid-air and hurl them back at their foes. Additionally, members of the Ventru clan can possess an enemy, turning them against their own team.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is set to launch in the first half of 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to dive into the dark world of vampire hunters and navigate the intricate battles of the night.
