All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds
*Monster Hunter Wilds* boasts 12 secret achievements. Seven of these are linked to the main storyline and will unlock naturally as you progress through the game. The remaining five are tied to optional objectives, detailed below:
- I Caught a Shooting Star! - Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
- A Prize Held High - Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
- A Legacy Restored - Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
- Seasoned Hunter - Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
- Top of the Food Chain - Hunted 50 Apex Predators.
While some of these achievements are straightforward, others might require a bit more effort. Let's dive into the specifics on how to unlock each one.
I Caught a Shooting Star!
To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods, and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Use the screamer pods to stun it, then quickly catch it with your Capture Net.
A Prize Held High
You can achieve this in any map by searching for tight corners or dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and find the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab there. Alma will often comment when you're near a creature with the Ancient Wyvern Coin, hinting at its presence.
A Legacy Restored
Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To craft Rarity 8 weapons, you'll need materials from Tempered monsters, which you can hunt using Rarity 7 gear.
Seasoned Hunter
Make sure not to confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones, the former being marked in purple on your minimap, while the latter are in red. Both slaying and capturing Tempered monsters will contribute to this achievement. They start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards in High Rank content.
Top of the Food Chain
This achievement requires you to hunt 50 Apex Predators. The monsters that count towards this achievement include Rey, Dau, Uth, Duna, Nu, Udra, and Jin Dahaad.
That wraps up how to unlock all the hidden achievements in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and information on the game, including the best gathering set to use, be sure to check out The Escapist.
