"Best Spots to Farm Machine Arms in NieR: Automata"
Quick Links
In NieR: Automata, players encounter a variety of crafting materials essential for upgrading weapons and pods. While many of these materials become more accessible later in the game, acquiring them early can significantly enhance your character's strength from the outset.
Among these materials, Machine Arms stand out as particularly elusive. Contrary to what their name might suggest, they are not easily found and often require dedicated farming efforts, especially in the early stages of the game. Here's how you can go about obtaining them.
Where To Farm Machine Arms In NieR: Automata
Machine Arms can drop from any small machine you defeat, though the drop rate is influenced by the enemy's level. At the start of the game, these drops are rare, so to farm them effectively early on, you'll need to maximize your kill count.
Post-Chapter 4, after your initial encounter with Adam, you'll find yourself in a pit where enemies respawn continuously. To reach this location, fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point and venture deeper into the ruins. In this pit, small machines spawn every few seconds, replacing those you've just defeated. Although these machines are of a lower level, resulting in a lower drop rate for Machine Arms, the high spawn rate makes this spot ideal for early farming. It's also an effective place to farm Titanium Alloy.
To enhance your farming efficiency, consider equipping a Drop Rate Plug-In Chip, which will slightly increase your chances of obtaining Machine Arms.
