Sonic Games to Update Before Sonic 3 Launch

With the highly anticipated release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the horizon, Sega is rolling out a series of thrilling updates for Sonic mobile games, each inspired by the upcoming cinematic adventure. These updates span across Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces, available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring fans have plenty to look forward to.

First up, Sonic Forces is set to receive an exciting update on December 12th, introducing the new Metro-city Zone. This zone comes with three challenging tracks where you can race as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other iconic characters. This update is directly tied to the movie's narrative, so make sure to master all levels before heading to the theater to catch the film.

Following closely, Sonic Dream Team's update arrives on December 18th, adding Shadow as a playable character equipped with unique abilities. To unlock him, dive into Tails’ Challenges. Shadow's new skills, Chaos Control and Chaos Shift, allow you to manipulate time, freezing enemies and the environment to achieve your goals. Alongside Shadow's introduction, new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost are available for all characters, with exclusive upgrades such as Double Chaos Shift enhancing Shadow’s capabilities. Additionally, six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks have been added, accompanied by a revamped tutorial level to ease new players into the game.

Lastly, Sonic Dash will update on December 20th, offering players the chance to collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily collectibles will also provide extra rewards to keep the excitement going. Apple Arcade's Sonic Dash+ will follow in January with more Shadow-themed updates, adding even more content for fans to enjoy.
