With summer in full swing (at least for those enjoying pleasant weather), it’s no surprise that leading mobile games are rolling out their seasonal updates. Following recent 25th-anniversary celebrations, The Sims Freeplay is ready to make waves with its new Make a Splash update!

Summer simply isn’t complete without barbecues, pool days, and lively street parties. The Sims Freeplay embraces the season by launching a fresh event series. Look out for a new SimChase event called "Risk It for the Brisket" (starting July 8th), where you'll compete to out-grill your rival in a sizzling BBQ challenge.

You can also celebrate Pride Month with the SimTown Pride Party Craft Challenge. Meanwhile, Nancy Landgraab is back to her scheming ways—this time attempting to replace the local pool with a parking lot. Stop her plans in the new Influence Island event, beginning June 23rd.

Last but certainly not least, a brand-new neighborhood is arriving in Rocky Heights. Welcome to Breezy Fields, a scenic area inspired by the tulip-filled Dutch countryside. This neighborhood will be accessible to players who have completed the first neighborhood, Rustic Acres.

Be sure to check the full event schedule—there’s plenty more to come. And as an extra treat, the developers have confirmed that upcoming updates will even arrive during vacations. Another great reason to dive into The Sims Freeplay this summer!
