Following its brief showcase at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, speculation arose that Hollow Knight: Silksong might bypass the current-gen console for a next-gen exclusive release. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and the original Nintendo Switch, and later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox, the game's future on the Switch 1 was questioned.

On April 8, Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to X (formerly Twitter) to address these concerns directly. Griffin confirmed that Silksong will indeed launch on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2, putting fans' worries to rest.

While specific details on how the versions will differ remain under wraps, it's anticipated that the Switch 2 version will leverage the console's enhanced capabilities for a higher resolution experience.

New Silksong Images Revealed
