New Shining Revelry Expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket Coming Soon

Author : Patrick May 25,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows, but nothing reignites my passion quite like the release of a new expansion. As soon as a fresh set drops, I dive back in, eager to earn those coveted Emblems by securing 40 wins. Once I've achieved that goal, my routine shifts to daily log-ins, opening my packs, and enjoying a casual Wonder Pick before setting the game aside until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will bring an exciting addition of 110 new cards to the game, encompassing a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The highlight of this expansion, hinted at by its name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of the Pokemon we know and love. For instance, you'll encounter a yellow Lucario instead of the usual blue, and Pachirisu will boast an eye-catching pink stripe.

The trailer for Shining Revelry offers a tantalizing glimpse into what we can expect. Among the standout cards is a new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and an impressive attack called Steam Artillery that deals 150 damage. However, this powerful move comes with a cost, requiring five energy to execute. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, allows you to attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it easier to power up this fiery beast.

Another notable addition is the new Lucario Ex. Previously playing a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is geared up for frontline combat. With 150 HP, it may not be the most durable, but its Aura Sphere attack is formidable. For three Fighting Energy, it deals 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon, making it a versatile choice for any deck.

The trailer also teases other cards that, while not game-changers, are certainly delightful additions. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are set to make their debut, each looking more fabulous than the last. Additionally, there's a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm determined to add to my digital collection.
