SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble in Historic Crossover Event!
Sonic Rumble, though yet to be globally released, has already kicked off an exciting crossover event dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, running until May 7th, just before its worldwide launch on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is playable in over 40 countries, having undergone pre-launch phases in regions like the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, Colombia, Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa.
What’s in Store?
If you're located in one of the soft-launch regions, you can fully immerse yourself in the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. Fans of Altered Beast will be thrilled to know that the iconic Werewolf transformation is available for free. For those nostalgic for the beast modes, you can acquire the Werebear and Weredragon, though they come with different acquisition methods. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
Adding to the excitement, Fantasy Zone characters Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa are part of the event. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which cost 700 standard rings each. Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee also join the fray, with AiAi available for 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a closer look at the crossover event in the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
Players can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. While it might seem unusual for the event to be active before the global release, SEGA has assured fans that most of these pre-release rewards will return post-launch.
This initial crossover event showcases a delightful blend of SEGA's rich gaming history, featuring monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed creatures interacting with Sonic and friends. This fusion hints at the promising future of Sonic Rumble.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now, or wait for its global release on May 8th in your region. Meanwhile, don't miss out on our coverage of Vampire Survivors' SaGa-Based DLC Emerald Diorama and the Cross-Save Update.
