"The Last of Us Season 4 Uncertain: Showrunner Says Story Can't End in Season 3"

The television adaptation of *The Last of Us* has been a massive hit, with Season 3 confirmed even before Season 2 began. Fans are now wondering about the possibility of a Season 4. According to showrunner Craig Mazin, a fourth season is almost a necessity to fully tell the story from the two Naughty Dog-developed video games.
In a recent interview with Collider, Mazin explained that attempting to wrap up the entire narrative in Season 3 would be impractical, stating that it "would take forever." He acknowledged that while there's a "decent chance" Season 3 might be longer than Season 2, it would still be impossible to complete the story in just three seasons. Mazin added, "Hopefully, we’ll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That’s the most likely outcome."
