"Rivals Update 9: Gunblade and Bridge Map Added, Ranked Mode Coming Soon"

The popular first-person shooter PvP experience on Roblox, Rivals, has just rolled out Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the new Bridge map to enhance its already engaging content. Developer Nosniy Games released detailed patch notes for today's update, offering a concise list of changes that, while smaller compared to recent updates, are sure to keep the community engaged.

Rivals enthusiasts, known for their love of the game's FPS mechanics and arsenal, will find the Gunblade a perfect fit. This unique weapon serves dual purposes as both a rifle for ranged combat and a formidable blade for close encounters, making it a versatile tool for catching opponents off guard. This feature will be particularly exciting on the new Bridge map, a compact arena set in Seoul, designed by creator @GreatGuyBoom. This map, characterized by its concrete structure and close-quarters setup, promises intense battles with minimal room for hesitation.

Interestingly, the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not mention any bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life enhancements. Nosniy Games has chosen to focus solely on introducing the Bridge map and the Gunblade. However, they did make minor adjustments to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed several items including the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed counterparts. The developers have assured fans that these omissions are temporary, as they are gearing up for the much-anticipated Ranked feature in the next major update.

"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the team stated, emphasizing their commitment to the community's requests.

Since its launch last May, Rivals has consistently received regular updates. NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
