Respawn Cancels Unannounced Multiplayer Shooter Set in the Titanfall Universe

A former Respawn Entertainment employee revealed on their LinkedIn profile that an unannounced project has been canceled after several years in development. No official reason for the cancellation has been given.
Last year, journalist Jeff Grubb reported that the project wasn't a mainline Titanfall entry, ruling out Titanfall 3. Respawn assembled a dedicated "experimental team" of multiplayer shooter specialists to develop the game.
This isn't the first cancellation for Respawn. An arcade shooter codenamed Titanfall Legends was also shut down last year.
The Titanfall series is celebrated for its unique blend of fast-paced action and mech combat, allowing players to battle as agile pilots or powerful Titans. Since its 2014 debut, the franchise has garnered a significant following thanks to its innovative gameplay, combining fluid parkour movement with intense team-based battles.
Respawn is currently concentrating on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the third installment in the Jedi series, and a new Star Wars strategy game developed in partnership with Bit Reactor.
