Project 007: James Bond Origin Game Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2
Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, it's time to get excited — IO Interactive has officially announced that their upcoming James Bond game, known as Project 007, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. As stated on IO Interactive's website, this game will dive into an entirely fresh narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
In this thrilling new adventure, players will have the unique opportunity to "step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," according to the developers. This marks a significant moment as gamers will experience the journey of Bond from the beginning.
Back in October, Hakan Abrak, the head of IO Interactive, shared insights with IGN about crafting this new origin story for the iconic spy. He emphasized the excitement of creating an "original story," stating, "It's not a gamification of a movie. It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future." Abrak also highlighted that this game introduces a new Bond, built from scratch specifically for gamers. "It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
While fans eagerly await further details, including a release date, they can stay updated on all the announcements from the recent Nintendo Direct here.
