Pokémon GO Classic Day Announced for January 2025

Niantic has announced Ralts as the star Pokémon for January 2025's Community Day Classic! This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-game purchase options.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts, the "Feeling Pokémon"

The event runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time) on January 25th, 2025. Expect increased Ralts encounters, including boosted Shiny rates.

A special research story for Ralts is available for $2 USD. Rewards include a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) yields a Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter (Dual Destiny background). Unlike the main Community Day, this research lasts a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket is available via the Pokémon GO web store from 10:00 AM (local time) on January 21st, 2025.

Two in-game shop bundles offer additional items:

• 1,350 PokeCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs

Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic hosts a Community Day Classic each month, featuring a different Pokémon (November 2024 featured Mankey). These events offer increased encounter rates for the featured Pokémon (including Shiny variants) and an exclusive move for its evolved form. Additional bonuses, like reduced egg hatch distance, are also common. December's event is a two-day special with multiple Pokémon.
