Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Get ready for a blast from the past with Pikmin Bloom's 3.5th anniversary celebration kicking off next month! Niantic is set to bring back the nostalgia with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, and running through May 31st, 2025. This is your chance to dive into the fun and collect some cool, retro-themed Pikmin.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Pikmin Bloom has always been about fun and creativity with decor like Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For this anniversary, the game is taking us back to the 80s and 90s with classic Nintendo game consoles as decor. Additionally, you'll see a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, celebrating Nintendo’s origins in the playing card industry before they dominated the video game world. These card designs hark back to Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.

Throughout the event, you can tackle Event Challenge missions to earn random rewards including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can sprout into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. And don’t miss the Brilliant Mushrooms popping up during the event. Smashing these with Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin will yield Mystery Boxes filled with Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more goodies.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May is the month of blooming beauty with Pikmin Bloom. Plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around your flowers to see them transform into stunning carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses. Plus, there's a nectar update to look forward to. Fruits from mushrooms collected in May will provide nectar for your regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
