Nintendo has reaffirmed the launch of several first-party titles slated for 2025 in its recent financial report. The year kicks off with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to release later in the year, though specific dates are yet to be disclosed.

While no additional projects have been announced, fans can look forward to the Nintendo Direct scheduled for Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be announced later via Nintendo’s official website and social media channels. Although the focus is expected to be on the Nintendo Switch 2, enthusiasts are eager for reveals or teasers of Switch 2-exclusive titles.

The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also set to launch later in 2025. According to the financial report, live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events will commence in April across 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam. While registrations for most locations have closed, interested fans can still join waitlists for a chance to secure a ticket. For the Japan leg of the tour, ticket applications remain open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida

In a bid to further expand its IPs, Nintendo is set to open a new Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World location in the United States, following its initial debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in California in February 2023. The Orlando park will feature the vibrant Super Mario Land and the tropical Donkey Kong Country on opening day.

Plans are also in place to launch Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though specific details beyond the projected opening year remain undisclosed.
