New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now
Excitement is brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This test phase is designed to gather player feedback and refine the feature before its official launch. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or new to the game, this event promises a unique challenge and a chance to collaborate with fellow players.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
Mark your calendars for the testing phase, which will run from April 26th to April 27th. The event will occur twice daily, on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., according to your local time. During these windows, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The goal? Team up with other players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Note that this is not a global total but specific to each outbreak point.
To participate, you must be at least Hunter Rank (HR) 11. Importantly, you won't be able to use the party feature; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked with a special icon on the map. You can tap on these icons to view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the event are intriguing. If you and three other hunters take down a single monster, it counts as four towards the goal of 100. Should your group reach the target before the hour is up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the time, as they will be the only monsters spawning during these outbreaks.
Completing the challenge comes with rewards. If your group successfully slays 100 Black Diablos, you'll receive 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster at the outbreak points offers a chance to earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
