METAL SLUG: AWAKENING Android Pre-Regs Live!

Get ready for a blast from the past! HaoPlay Limited's upcoming title, Metal Slug: Awakening, is bringing back the classic arcade action. Launching globally on July 18th, 2024, pre-registration is now open.

A Modern Revival of a Classic

Metal Slug: Awakening reimagines the iconic 90s series for modern gamers. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has undergone development and name changes, finally debuting in Southeast Asia late last year. Now, it's ready for a worldwide release.

For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun series that debuted in 1996, created by Nazca Corporation and later expanding into a multimedia franchise. Awakening isn't the series' first mobile foray (remember Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander?); however, it promises enhanced features and gameplay.

Classic Action, Modern Enhancements

The game retains the core run-and-gun mechanics of the original series while boasting updated visuals and new gameplay elements. Players can expect to revisit familiar characters and embark on fresh missions. Modes include a World Adventure, 3-player cooperative Team-up battles, and challenging Roguelike encounters.
