Karrablast and Shelmet are set to take center stage at February's Pokémon Go Community Day. Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 9th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, when these Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. Keep your eyes peeled for their elusive Shiny forms as well. Alongside the increased spawn rates, you can look forward to the usual Community Day bonuses and a variety of engaging research tasks.

During the event, catching enough Karrablast and Shelmet will allow you to evolve them into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively, with unique charged attacks. Escavalier can learn Razor Shell, delivering 35 power in Trainer Battles and 55 power in gyms and raids, while Accelgor will gain Energy Ball, boasting 90 power across all battle types.

For a small fee of $2 or the local equivalent, you can purchase the Community Day Special Research ticket. This ticket grants access to a Dual Destiny-themed Special Research story, featuring encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet against a unique background. In addition to these encounters, the ticket also provides a Premium Battle Pass and Rare Candy XL, enhancing your gameplay experience.

A free Timed Research quest will also be available for those who log in during the event, offering additional opportunities to encounter the themed Pokémon and increase your chances of finding their Shiny variants. Throughout the three-hour event window, you'll enjoy triple XP and double Candy for catching Pokémon, with an elevated chance for Trainers level 31 and up to obtain Candy XL.
