January 2025's Top Earning Gacha Games Revealed

Gacha game enthusiasts are always eager to dive into the latest financial performance stats of their favorite titles. The January 2025 figures have just been released, offering a fascinating glimpse into the revenue dynamics of the genre. One of the standout performers last month was Genshin Impact, which introduced a significant update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika. The excitement around this new banner was palpable, propelling Genshin Impact to double its earnings, raking in an impressive $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

Securing the second spot was Pokemon TCG with a solid $64 million in earnings. Not far behind, the "female gacha" game Love and Deepspace rounded out the top three with $55.2 million. Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail saw its revenue dip to $50.8 million, and Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant drop, with earnings halving from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.

It's worth noting that these rankings reflect mobile platform earnings exclusively, although some titles like those from miHoYo are also available on PC. A crucial point in the data compilation is the method used for revenue estimation in China, where Google Play is not available. The estimates for Android data in China are calculated using a multiplier based on iOS revenue within the country.
