Helldivers 2 creator hints at possible collab with Warhammer 40,000
The collaboration between the co-op shooter Helldivers 2 and the Killzone franchise has sparked intense discussions within the gaming community, particularly about the potential for a crossover with another iconic universe: Warhammer 40,000. Speculation about a future collaboration with Warhammer 40,000 has been rife, with many believing that such a partnership could be on the horizon.
Some community members expressed doubts about the feasibility of a crossover with the Warhammer universe, citing potential reluctance from Games Workshop. However, Arrowhead Studios' head, Shams Jorjani, quickly dispelled these concerns by stating, "I can say that GW would love a crossover, we're big fans of [Warhammer] 40k ourselves." This statement has been interpreted by Helldivers 2 fans as a strong hint towards a possible collaboration with Games Workshop.
Helldivers 2's premium content now focuses on carefully curated themes, exemplified by the partnership with Killzone 2. The developers have made it clear that such crossovers will be selective and pursued only when they align seamlessly with the game's universe, ensuring that any additions feel like a natural extension of the Helldivers 2 experience.
In line with the success of this collaboration, players have the opportunity to earn more Killzone-themed rewards through community challenges related to the Galactic War. This initiative not only enhances player engagement but also celebrates the synergy between the two franchises.
