Hayden Christensen Returns as Anakin in Ahsoka Season 2 - Star Wars

The recent Star Wars Celebration brought thrilling news for fans: Hayden Christensen will reprise his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. Although details about Anakin's involvement remain under wraps, the announcement promises more captivating moments between Ahsoka and her former master.

Christensen made a special appearance at the Ahsoka panel during the celebration, sharing his enthusiasm about returning to the role. "It was a dream to get to do," he said. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting."

Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni, humorously remarked that he had to create entire dimensions just to collaborate with Christensen again. "I had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen," Filoni quipped, emphasizing the lengths they went to bring Anakin back.

Christensen also discussed the extensive conversations he had with the team about Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars. "All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action," he explained. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look."

During the panel, Filoni highlighted how their shared history with George Lucas influenced their approach to bringing Anakin back. This collaboration allowed them to fill in gaps in their knowledge and deliver a comprehensive portrayal of the character. "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on Lucas's impact on his performance.
