FIFA Joins Forces with Konami

Konami and FIFA's unexpected esports collaboration: The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024 will be held on eFootball!

This surprising partnership follows years of competition between FIFA and PES. The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024 will utilize Konami's eFootball platform.

In-Game Qualifiers on eFootball Are Live!

The tournament features two divisions: Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile. Eighteen countries are eligible for the final rounds: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

Three-stage in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination phases for the 18 countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.

The offline final round will take place late 2024; the exact date is yet to be announced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards including 50 eFootball coins and 30,000 XP.

The Unexpected Alliance of FIFA and eFootball

The partnership marks a significant shift after years of rivalry. EA's split with FIFA in 2022, reportedly due to a substantial licensing fee dispute, paved the way for this unexpected collaboration. The subsequent release of EA Sports FC 24 solidified the separation.
