Final Fantasy XVI Lands on PC September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced the highly anticipated PC release of Final Fantasy XVI, slated for September 17th. This announcement is accompanied by positive news regarding future titles; the director hints at the potential for simultaneous releases across multiple platforms.The PC version will be available for purchase at $49.99, with a Complete Edition priced at $69.99, bundling the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions. To build anticipation, a playable demo is currently available, providing a taste of the prologue and a challenging "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode. Progress from the demo carries over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai revealed that the PC version boasts a 240fps frame rate cap and supports various upscaling technologies, including NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS.
